Guidelines of ICNSP&APPTC Proceedings Manuscript for Contributed and Invited Papers

1. Introduction

All papers presented at ICNSP&APPTC will be considered, via peer review, for inclusion in a special issue of the Journal of Plasma Physics published by Cambridge University Press. To make a timely publication of these proceedings, the editorial committee has come up with the following guidelines for manuscript preparation. Authors' cooperation will be greatly appreciated. Contributed papers which are not presented at the conference will be automatically excluded from the publication in the Journal. The presentation does not necessarily guarantee the publication in the Journal.

2. Manuscript preparation
2.1 Language and material

Manuscripts should be written in clear English. The authors are encouraged to write manuscripts in LaTeX for which a JPP style file can be obtained here.

jpp.clsthe style file
jpp2egui.texauthors' instructions
jpp2esam.texsample pages
upmath.stypackage providing access to 'upright' math
subeqn.stypackage provides subnumbering of equations

2.2 Length limit

The total length will be limited to 6 journal pages for invited talks, 4 journal pages for contributed papers presented in oral talks and posters, including figures and tables. Please rigorously check the length of your manuscript before submission.

2.3 Layout of manuscripts

Papers should begin with an abstract of not more than 300 words and should end with a brief concluding section.

2.4 Illustrations

The authors are encouraged to include figures in the text. Any figure files should be included as .eps format. The authors are recommended to use the graphicx package which can be used by the following command in the preamble part.

\usepackage[dvips]{graphicx}

The figures can be included in the text by the following form:

\begin{figure}

\centering

\includegraphics["width, height, etc"]{"your eps"}

\caption{"your caption"}

\end{figure}

Colour illustrations can be accepted, but will be subject to a charge that will be notified to authors on acceptance of their paper. Authors who are not able to pay the charges for colour figures, and whose figures will be printed in black and white in the Journal, should include a URL in the caption to affected figures to direct readers to a website where figures can be viewed in colour.

2.5 References

These should follow either the Harvard (name/date) or Vancouver (numbered) system. In the Harvard system, each reference should be cited in the text as 'author(s) (date)' or '(author(s) date)', and the reference list at the end of the paper should be in alphabetical order. In the Vancouver system, references should be indicated in the text by numbers in square brackets (e.g. [1], [1,2], [1-4], etc.), and should be listed at the end of the paper in numerical order of citation. For details of the style of entries within the reference list, please see any recent issue of the journal.
